Environment march from Jalandhar to Bikaner

Environmentalist Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal announced to take out a Chetna March from Jalandhar to Bikaner along the polluted natural water resources to educate people about the importance of salubrious surrounding.

Environmentalist Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal announced to take out a Chetna March from Jalandhar to Bikaner along the polluted natural water resources to educate people about the importance of salubrious surrounding.

A panel of doctors and lawyers would accompany the march that would begin on April 1. The residents can ask their respective candidates about their achievements on the environment front.

This was announced by Seechewal here today during a religious function,which turned into an environment rally,to mark the 31st death anniversary of Baba Lal Singh.

The four Punjab ministers present on the occasion were also quizzed about their environment-related feats.

The ministers,who fumbled for words when the audience plied them with questions,included Ranjit Singh Brahmpura,Sucha Singh Langah,Ajit Singh Kohar and Hira Singh Gabria. They,however,added that they would offer all help to the march.

The procession would pass through Malwa,where people have been forced to drink polluted water of the Sutlej River,which carries the effluents of Chitti Bein of Jalandhar.
