  • It’s almost as if Sourav Ganguly has given up hope. With his name not figuring in the team for the one-day matches in the West Indies, the former India skipper seemed a bitter man today.

‘‘Everybody can see what is going on, what can I say,’’ he told The Indian Express. Asked if he saw the line-up as a signal for the World Cup, which he is keen to play, he said: ‘‘It would have been a good opportunity had I been in the side.’’

So is this the end of the road? ‘‘I really don’t know what the future holds for me. I will continue playing domestic cricket,’’ said Ganguly, who lost his place in the side after coach Greg Chappell took over and the regime change in the BCCI.
