Senior police inspector Uttam More of Dattawadi police station said a war of supremacy had been raging between Ganesh and the Jagdale brothers since then. They had a recent brawl during Dr Ambedkar’s birth anniversary celebrations.

Police said Ganesh’s father Bhagwat Kamble was also murdered in 1995 over a petty dispute, when Ganesh’s mother was a corporator. Ganesh is survived by his mother, brother, wife and son.
