    Chidambaram’s letter explains the “difficult circumstances” under which Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was prompted to shift him into a higher gear beginning December 1. “For the present, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh himself has kept the Finance portfolio, underlying the importance of the tasks that face Finance Ministers all over the world,” the letter says.

    Israel and IndiaBy: Lal Narang | 05-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward Look at Israel ..Hamas killed just four of their nationals and it went all out to stamp out the threats to its people and invaded Gaza as a part of their defensive offensive to eliminate every possible source of threat to the country against all protests from the countries all over the world. There can not be any thing more sacred for a country than defending and protecting its people from any quarter. We need such attitude and character which we sadly lack.We care too much for world opinion and hope that our problems will be solved. Even the so called friends of India have their own interests to look after and beyond a certain point they will go no further leaving India to fend for itself. Our Government has already proved that it is very good in adapting a hard instance but not taking any hard action. Its unfotunate.
