Two days before the counting of votes and with all exit polls predicting Nitish Kumars return,RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Monday said the media was grossly biased against him. He said the exit polls would demoralise those counting votes.
Lalu claimed all media calculations would be thrown to the winds on November 24,the day of counting.
The RJD chief said the NDA could manage only 142 seats in its peak in 2005. This time,it could not repeat its performance with multiple factors such as corruption, wrong excise policy and anti-incumbency working against Nitish Kumar,Lalu claimed.
Though he looked subdued,Lalu tried to exude confidence, saying all experts had failed to read the poll mood. The social engineering of Nitish has not worked. The minorities and the poor have voted for us. The bigger presence of women at polling booths suggested that they were voting against the liquor policy of Nitish, Lalu said.
Asking the media to go for objective reporting,Lalu said the exit polls would demoralise those counting votes on November 24.
