“Ongoing projects including Education City and Modern Terminal market needs to be monitored regularly to check any slippage, followed by necessary corrective measures,” said UT Administrator General S F Rodrigues (Retd) during a public hearing session on Monday.
Accompanied by wife Jean Rodrigues, the Administrator gave a patient hearing to the deputations and individuals. While asking officers to expedite work on ongoing projects, Rodrigues directed them to remain focussed.
He also shared concern over the incidents of domestic violence and harassment of women at the hands of their husbands and in-laws.
“The unethical practice is badly impacting our social system. NGOs and social activists must come forward to keep a tab on the menace by taking the help of government machinery”, he added.
