At least seven people, including three children, were injured in an explosion in Colonelganj area in Kanpur on Tuesday evening, police said.
A bomb wrapped in a polythene bag and kept on a bicycle went off at 1830 hrs, SSP Hari Ram Sharma said.
The explosion took place near a liquor vend, he said.
Seven people, three of them children, were injured in the blast, the SSP said.
Uttar Pradesh Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Brij Lal said it was not a terror attack.
