The Champions edition of The Official Formula 1 Opus is not one of those books that you can blink and miss. This is simply because the amount of money that could probably buy you a high-end luxury car is the price for this 852-page book, which weighs 37 kg and costs nearly Rs 17 lakh (£20,000).

The book — the biggest and heaviest book on Formula 1 ever produced — was launched by the UK-based publishing house, Opus Media, at Delhi's Oberoi hotel on Friday, which happened to be the first day of the Indian Grand Prix. The event was marked by the presence of celebrities such as actor Anil Kapoor — who signed its first copy — cricketer Gautam Gambhir, and Olympic medalists Yogeshwar Dutt, Gagan Narang and Vijender Singh.

Karl Fowler, CEO of Opus Media, said, "It is a collection of never-seen-before stories and images, capturing the history of Formula 1 in the last 60 years, by using great photography complimented by fantastic writing."

While the Champions edition, which will include a signature page personally signed by every living world champion driver, is limited to 100 copies, there will also be a Classic edition that's priced at £2,000.
