With 13 nominations across music categories, T-Series' head honcho Bhushan Kumar had multiple reasons to rejoice!

With a turnover of Rs 400 crore every year, T-Series is a leading player in the music business, thanks to the music company's dynamic head honcho, Bhushan Kumar who has a formidable reputation for picking up the right kind of music. Last year, T-Series invested in the music rights of more than 30 films and interestingly, most of the music from the company's stable impressed the eminent Jury and found a way into the nominations of 19th Annual Colors Screen Awards. T-Series bagged a record 13 nominations across music categories for films like Agent Vinod, Cocktail, Dabangg 2, English Vinglish, Kahaani, Gangs Of Wasseypur, Shanghai, Talaash, giving Kumar multiple reasons to grace the grand award ceremony.

He says, "We are very happy that our music has received so much appreciation. Last year, too, we bagged many nominations and we hope to continue this streak next year also. The credit for this goes to all the music composers, singers and lyricists who work so hard on the songs. Today, it is also very important to market and promote the songs properly and that is where we come in. "

While English Vinglish (Amit Trivedi) and Kahaani (Clinton Cerejo) bagged nominations in the Best Background Score category, the peppy tracks of Cocktail, the retro flavours of Dabangg 2, the experimental sound of Gangs Of Wasseypur and Indo-jazz renditions in Talaash were nominated in the Best Music category. These nominations reflect the diverse collection of music that exists in the T-Series library.

Moreover, Mika received a nomination for the popular number Pungi from Agent Vinod in Best Playback Singer (Male) category while Best Playback Singer (Female) category had three T-Series nominations. The Sufi artiste Kavita Seth bagged a nomination for Tumhi ho bandhu in Cocktail, Mamta Sharma was nominated for Fevicol se in Dabangg 2 and Nandini Srikar found herself nominated for Dil mera muft ka in Agent Vinod.
