  • Additional Sessions Court judge P P Bhatt today reserved the order pertaining to the anticipatory bail sought by three policemen from Rajasthan in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case. The court will now pronounce the order tomorrow.

The defence lawyer rebutted allegations made by the prosecution in its affidavit submitted yesterday. According to defence lawyer Mitesh Amin, as per the station diary entry at Udaipur Police Station, the petitioners were in Udaipur on November 24 morning and reached Ahmedabad the same day. “Therefore the three accused could not have been in AP to kidnap Sohrabuddin on November 23,” he said. According to another submission, Inspector Abdul Rehman, had entered a detailed note of him having filed a complaint against Sohrabuddin and others in Ahmedabad. According to Amin, the applicant also made a note of this at the concerned police station in Udaipur. Therefore, the applicants could not have been involved in the killing of Kausar Bi on November 28, he added.
