She added that she called the school staff for help after which they were rushed to the hospital, along with Bahadur.

“When I returned home later, I noticed the broken locks of the wardrobes. As my parents are still in a semi-conscious state, the exact amount of loss cannot be estimated right now,” added Abhilasha.

While food samples have been collected, the police are yet to ascertain the substance used to drug the family. The police have registered a case of theft against Deepak.

“Initial investigations point to the involvement of the newly appointed domestic help. We are on a lookout for Deepak,” said Inspector Ajit Kumar, SHO, Sector 5.

Doctors at the General Hospital, meanwhile, said all victims were out of danger.
