If the smell of burning rubber,screeching cars and rumbling engines fascinate you,head to Singapore to get your adrenaline fix. With the second edition of the Singapore F1the only night F1 race scheduled from September 25 to 27,travel operators have come up with exciting options. There are around 50 flights from India daily. Many see the F1 as an excuse to get away from work for a three-day vacation, says Thomas Thottathil,Head of Corporate Communications,Cox and Kings. They are offering a four-day,three-night package for Rs 23,035 per person which does not include the F1 ticket or airfare. We will put up guests in a three-star accommodation,throw in a city tour and a visit to the bird park and the Singapore Flyer, adds Thottathil,adding that demand has risen significantly this year. Travel operators feel that Force Indias performance has increased interest. For almost four weeks,Force India has been doing well. In Italy,they got a podium finish and are looking good, says Vishal Suri,COO,Leisure Outbound,Thomas Cook. The company is offering three packages,catering to young married couples,families and die-hard F1 fans. Their packages start from Rs 52,700 on a triple-sharing basis to Rs 90,500 for single rooms in three-star accommodation. All packages include breakfast,F1 ticket,airfare,visa charges and travel insurance.
