Strawberry
Strawberries are naturally sweet and can be added to your breakfast cereal. “It will make sure that your body starts burning calories just after you finish your first meal of the day,” says Chawla.
Orange
“An orange contains about 45 calories and if you eat it, you will end up burning around 55-60 calories,” says Sharma. Take it to work for a late-afternoon snack.
Carrot
Not only are they good for your eyes, but they also help you lose weight. “Instead of snacking on chips, munch on a carrot instead,” says Chawla. Carrot juice will help too.
Tomato
Make sure that tomatoes are part of every salad or sandwich. “Tomatoes are full of flavour and are part of most meals and salads. However, cooked tomatoes do not help burn the same amount of calories as raw ones,” says Chawla.
Apple
When eaten as a snack, apples help keep calories at bay. “An apple contains about 60-80 calories, but your body works harder and longer to digest this fruit than other snacks,” says Sharma.
Watermelon
A lot of energy is used while eating and digesting a watermelon. “It’s also a sweet fruit, so have it when you get a sugar craving,” says Chawla.
However, limiting a diet to these foods would lead to weakness and malnutrition. Stick to regular, wholesome meals as your body needs nutrients from other sources as well. “These foods should be had in a salad or during snack time. If you only have negative-calorie foods all day, your body will become extremely weak,” says Sharma.
