  • The Assam Government on Monday submitted to the Guwahati High Court all documents relating to the handing over of the case of FCI Executive Director P C Ram’s murder to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

The state Government’s counsel, Raj Barua, submitted the documents to the High Court. Justice Ranjan Gogoi, hearing a writ petition filed by Ram’s brother Shiv Lochan Ram, had directed the state Government on November 28 to produce records pertaining to handing over of the case to the CBI.

The petitioner appealed for a direction to investigate the death of Ram by the central agency under an officer not below the rank of Additional Director.

The state Government has already handed over the case to the investigating agency.
