A student leader of Gorakhpur University has been shot dead allegedly by unknown persons at his residence in Shahpur area of the city.
Pradeep Singh 'Sahjanwa' was attacked last night by unknown assailants, police said, adding, Singh died while being taken to a nearby hospital.
There were more than half-a-dozen bullets in his body, police said.
Singh, a native of Chiluataal area of the district, was active in Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University.
