Narain Karthikeyan believes his Formula One experience will give Team India an advantage with the introduction of Ferrari engines and chassis in the A1 GP Series.
A1 GP’s six-year deal with the Italian giants, they hope, will help reduce the gap with Formula One. “Though it’s going to be unknown territory for all other drivers, I know what to expect,” he said at the launch of the team’s new livery here on Wednesday. “I believe my F1 experience will help.”
Karthikeyan sniffs his chance in the first three races after which the A1 GP will go on a two-month holiday. “We have to do well in the first three races. After that, there is a two-month break and others might catch up with us by that time,” said Karthikeyan.
