Alonso led the championship going into the last race in 2010 but was overtaken by Sebastian Vettel after a failed pit stop strategy by Ferrari in Abu Dhabi.

Alonso said Friday that “I think I know the team better now and I feel far more integrated into the team. The development through 2010 was crucial to the new car.”
