The film school of international repute, New York Film Academy (NYFA), is set to launch a full-fledged India campus. Interestingly, the venue chosen for the same is Greater Noida, a satellite town of Delhi, as opposed to Mumbai, which is home to Bollywood. The first batch will commence in January 2013 and offer the same courses, faculty, facilities and equipment as in the New York City campus. Some of the prominent NYFA alumni include Steven Spielberg, Mira Nair, Joe Mantegna and Garry Marshall. The academy has also tied up with several media firms and production houses for placements and internships. "There is a massive pool of untapped talent across the Subcontinent and South East Asia and our objective is to reach them through our new campus. The campus would be at par with international standards," said NYFA vice-president Kitty Koo.
