Fire in Shakira Temple,kitchen damaged

Sharika Temple is of goddess Jagadamba Sharika Bhagwati,believed to be form of goddess Durga.

A fire broke out in the kitchen of a temple on Hariparbat hills in Nowhatta,police said today.

The kitchen of Sharika Devi Temple caught fire and was damaged last night,they said.

The main temple was not damaged as it is located inside the Hariparbat fort in the city.

The cause of the fire was being ascertained,police said.

The Sharika Temple is of goddess Jagadamba Sharika Bhagwati,believed to be a form of goddess Durga or Shakti.
