Mention Aditya Narayans debut role and you can picture the grown-up-child-actor-cum-singer cast as a romantic character, given his look. The 22-year-old,however,has been working hard on developing muscles for the Vikram Bhatt-directed Shaapit, which packs in more chills than mush.
One day Vikram noticed I had been working out and asked if I would like to show off my six pack, says Narayan. Since the young actor had just four packs then,he asked for a months time to make their count increase by two.
Narayan started his career as a singer at eight,by lending his voice to the title track of Akele Hum Akele Tum. After this he went on to sing for a number of films like Rangeela,Hum Saath Saath Hain and Taal. So,its not a surprise that his singing talent has been tapped for Shaapit as well. Apart from singing four songs,he has also written and composed the title track.
When we meet him at his Andheri residence,we catch him watching the video of the title song for the first time. The transition from a child actor and the host of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa to the lead actor of a Hindi film has been quite a change for Narayan. Television and films are a completely different ball game. As a host, people saw the real me. But in Shaapit, people will just see my character Aman, he says. Look out for the six pack.
