Hrithik Roshan unveiled the first look of his much hyped film 'Kites'.

In an attempt to woo the global audience, actor Hrithik Roshan unveiled the first look of his much hyped film 'Kites' amid fanfare at the Cannes Film Festival.

The teaser trailer and some key art posters of the film were released before the global media by Hrithik in the presence of the cast and crew of the film at the festival's market.

Produced by Rakesh Roshan and directed by 'Gangster' fame Anurag Basu, the film also stars Mexican actress Barbara Mori. 'Kites' is expected to hit the theatres across the world in the last quarter of 2009.

"A film like 'Kites' has never been attempted in India before. This is our attempt to tap the mainstream international audience and we are hopeful that we will be able to meet this objective," producer Rakesh Roshan said in a press conference here.

Keeping in mind the international audiences, the producers will release the English language version globally where as in India, they will release the film in Hindi.

Kites-Hype or contentBy: Zakir | 15-May-2009 Reply | Forward Hope the film lives upto its expectations.I am not a big rakesh roshan fan,all his films have been big box office hits but they really lack content. The only positive thing about kites is that it is a anurag basu film who is a intelligent film maker and has given good films in the recent past.
