Five members of a family, including two women and two children, escaped death after the building they were living in collapsed, police said on Sunday.
The family of Riyaz Ghansia (37), his wife Arva (34), mother Jenin (65) and sons Zohaib (10) and Ibrahim (7) were rescued after their three-storied building at Zampabazar collapsed late last night, fire officials said.
The victims buried under the rubble were brought out alive after a rescue operation that lasted for 3-4 hours, they said.
Riyaz and Ibrahim sustained injuries on their heads, while others sustained minor injuries, they said,
A case has been registered in this connection and further investigation is on to find out the cause of the collapse, police said.
