Forest fire breaks out in Dachigam National Park

Fire tenders have rushed to the forest area to douse the blaze.

A forest fire broke out in parts of Dachigam National Park,home of endangered Kashmir Stag (Hangul),at Harwan in the outskirts of the city today.

Fire tenders have rushed to the forest area to douse the blaze,a police spokesman said,adding further details were awaited.

The endangered Kashmir Stags have diminished from thousands in early 20th century to just 218 now.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) announced its first list of 14 candidates for the Bihar assembly polls, with its state unit chief Raju Tiwary and leader Hulas Pandey among the nominees. As per the seat-sharing arrangement, LJP (RV) will contest 29 seats, while BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each. The remaining 15 candidates will be announced soon.
