BJP member Sandeep Khardekar said the defunct water fountains should not have been neglected. "Those disrupting traffic should definitely be removed but there are a few that create no roadblock and should be restarted. There is no reason why they were left in such a pathetic condition when they were so soothing to the eyes of the passers-by," he added.
