Fountains to come up in green belts

The Municipal Corporation will instal fountains in various sectors of the city. This was approved in the Finance and Contract Committee meeting.

The Municipal Corporation will instal fountains in various sectors of the city. This was approved in the Finance and Contract Committee meeting on Thursday.

The members approved installation of geometrical fountain designed in the shape of a duck in the Sector-61 greenbelt and a double dome fountain in Sector 38 C and D and Sector 37 C and D. Kajheri village will get a cascading water feature.

A number of parks and a mini rose garden will be set up in Sector 24. A discussion was held on issuing licences to those selling chhole-bhature,rice and chapati from 8 am to 5 pm at these parks. Estimates were passed for new parks in a number of sectors. Walking tracks will be constructed in Sector-37 parks and it was decided that booths in the AC Fish Market would be given out on rent.

Apart from these,estimates for installation of play equipment,laying paver blocks and carpeting of roads were finalised.
