Four cases of molestation reported across capital, five men arrested

Four incidents of molestation were reported in the capital on Monday. Five men have been arrested in separate cases, police said.
A 32-year-old driver was arrested for allegedly molesting a 17-year-old girl, a student of School of Open Learning. Police said Nakul had been stalking the girl for around two months and tried to molest her on Monday.
A resident of Prasad Nagar, Nakul first saw the girl two months ago near Mandir Marg area and started stalking her, police said. On Monday night, he tried to talk to her. He allegedly held her hand and tried to molest her.
"The girl immediately raised an alarm and a beat constable in the area arrested him," a police officer said. A case of molestation and act to outrage a woman's modesty has been registered under IPC Sections 354 and 509 against Nakul.
In the second incident, a 23-year-old employee of a private company was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman in a Rural Transport Vehicle (RTV), while traveling from Govindpuri to Pul Prahladpur. Saurav was arrested on the spot and booked under IPC Sections 354 and 509. The incident took place on Monday. The woman complained of inappropriate behaviour and harassment.
In the third incident, two persons — Phool Chand and Chaukidar — allegedly held a 22-year-old woman hostage and tried to rape her inside a room in a temple in the Mandir Marg area. A case under IPC Sections 376, 511, 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement) and 34 (common intention) against the accused was registered in Mandir Marg police station, following which they were arrested. The victim is a construction worker.
In the fourth incident, 23-year-old Shahan Ali was arrested for allegedly molesting a girl in Madhu Vihar area of East Delhi.
