Exposing the tall claims made of the Haryana Police that the law and order situation in the state was under control,as many as four murders have come to fore in the last two days in various districts. While two cases were reported from Karnal district which included a case of dowry death one each was reported from Rohtak and Rewari districts. A youth,Somjit,was found shot dead at the terrace of his house at Gurawar village in Rohtak district on Saturday morning. Somjit had got married three months ago. His wife was not at home when the incident took place. According to Somjits family,he had no enmity with anybody. He had dinner and then went to the terrace to sleep. In the morning,when he did not come down,his relatives went to the terrace and discovered his body lying in a pool of blood. A case has been registered on charges of murder against unidentified persons. In another incident,the police arrested a Madhya Pradesh-based construction contractor,Murli,on charges of allegedly murdering Rewari resident Pramod Saini and then burying the body at the construction site. During interrogation,Murli confessed to the crime and led the police to the spot,where he had buried the body. Pramod used to supervise the construction work going on at his uncle Krishan Lals residence in Sector 4 of Rewari. According to the police,he entered into an altercation with Murli,after which Murli attacked him with a spade and killed him. Murli buried Pramods body at the same construction site,from where the body was exhumed by the police on Saturday. Meanwhile,a 22-year-old woman,Paramjit,was allegedly burnt alive by her husband and in-laws when she failed to bring dowry with her after her marriage. Paramjit had got married to Karnal resident Ashok about two months ago. Her family alleged that her husband and in-laws used to mistreat her and was pressuring her for bring dowry. On Friday night,her in-laws allegedly poured kerosene oil on her and burnt her. Paramjit was admitted to the civil hospital in Karnal where she succumbed to injuries on Saturday. Her husband and in-laws have been booked for dowry death. In another incident,the Karnal police arrested a young woman and her paramour were arrested on Saturday on charges of murdering Ashok a local. The duo,Priyanka and her Vikram,allegedly hatched the conspiracy of murdering Ashok,who was allegedly troubling Priyanka. While Priyanka called Ashok at a secluded location,Vikram and his two friends reached the spot and stabbed Ashok to death. The police got the clue about the accused from the deceaseds cellphone and arrested Priyanka,who spilled the beans,following which Vikram was arrested. While Vikram was being interrogated,Priyanka was sent to judicial custody on Sunday.
