He added: “Every new detail was to be added to the student’s Unique Identity Code in the computer. This procedure would have made access to details very easy. One had to just key in the Unique Identity Code and the information would have been available right on the computer screen.”
Meanwhile, MSU Registrar M M Beedkar refused to comment on the issue when asked why the project did not take off despite being passed by the Syndicate and even after the university had allocated the seed money for the same.
Exam Section Deputy Registrar Dharmendra Mistry added: “I don’t know, please get in tough with Beedkar.”
MSU Vice-Chancellor Prof Ramesh Goyal, however, added: “It takes time to streamline the process; I am aware of the issue. I am looking into it.”
On his part, MSU Registrar A V Gupta said, “The entire work was given to the then MSU Librarian Kautilya Shukla.”
Shukla was unavailable for comments.
