“In fact, the incident was part of a pre-planned conspiracy hatched by the ruling BJP to defame the Congress and divert the people’s attention from the flak the government has been receiving for the last four days in the wake of the Ahmedabad hooch tragedy,” Gohil said, alleging that “it was the ruling BJP that had got the temple frame damaged by its party men in a bid to to give a communal colour to the whole incident”.
The Opposition leader said everyone knows that putting pictures of religious places in or around the House is not allowed. The Congress has requested the Governor to look into the whole incident, he added.
