The Punjab governments pet project to provide 1.20 lakh bicycles to girl students on August 15 has been grounded for now,as the Chief Gurdwara Election Commissioner has turned down the governments request to launch the scheme.
The government had decided to give cycles to the girls studying in Classes XI and XII under the Mai Bhago Vidya scheme.
