Game Struck

An NSG commando makes his way through the numerous corridors of the Taj Mahal Palace and Towers amidst continuous sounds of bombardment.

An NSG commando makes his way through the numerous corridors of the Taj Mahal Palace and Towers amidst continuous sounds of bombardment. Determinately,he goes on to kill all the terrorists, rescue the hostages and defuse the bombs on his way till ‘Terror Attack—Project Fateh’ is accomplished.

For those who want to replicate the commando’s act, this game is available on UTV Indiagames since Monday. The brain behind this is Shivam Gupta,a 13-year-old who hails from Patna,Bihar. The passionate gamer was very disturbed after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. So he decided to combine his skills and emotions to create this game. “I wanted to motivate people to stand up against terrorism and create awareness,” says Gupta, who suffers from a rare limb disorder,Klippel-Trenaunay Weber syndrome.

Later on,UTV Indiagames stepped in to provide a platform for Gupta to develop his game and launch it. Vishal Gondal,CEO of UTV Indiagames, says,“Our designers just gave suggestions, the production and graphics were all done by Shivam.” Gondal was very impressed when he first met the ‘America’s Army’—a very popular game—fan. “We encourage people like Shivam whom we think are brilliant and help them develop their games.”
