Gang of 6 robbers from Bengal arrested while planning a dacoity

The UT Police Monday submitted a chargesheet against the gang of six interstate robbers who were arrested by it from Daria while they were planning a dacoity. After the UT Police had arrested the gang, many cases of snatching and robberies were solved in districts of Haryana as well.
The investigating officer in the case, Sub Inspector Om Prakash said, "We have put charges of preparation of dacoity, forgery and also under the Arms Act as we had recovered sickles, knives and cartridges from the accused".
The case has been adjourned to January 31. The investigating officer also said that the accused are presently on a transit remand to Jagadhri. The accused were arrested on November 28 from the fields of Makhan Majra, Chandigarh. After the preliminary investigation, the police found that the gang, originally from West Bengal and Bihar, were operating in many states and were involved in many crimes.
The mastermind of the gang is Dheeraj aka Rajiv Gawala, a 27-year-old resident of West Bengal, he was arrested along with others, including Sujit Gawala, aged 38, Rohit Gawala, aged 20, Awinash aka Rahul Gawala, aged 20, Jimmy aka Behra, aged 25 and Munu Gawala aka Pintu, aged 25. All the accused are natives of District Jalpai Gurri, West Bengal except Rohit and Rahul, who are natives of Bihar.
The gang had been involved in murder, dacoity, thefts, robbery and snatching. The gang has also been involved in thefts in trains like Shatabdi Express, Rajdhani Express, Kanchanjanga Kamru and Awad Express etc.
The GRP Police, Ambala Cantt had also taken the gang of six on remand for investigating in a case of snatching. Their involvement in the case of murder of the owner of Sham Fashion Mall, Sector 34 had also surfaced.
