Gang of burglars busted,3 arrested

With the arrest of three persons,the Crime Branch of the Chandigarh Police claimed to have busted a gang of burglars active in the city and solved eights cases.

Those arrested have been identified as Akash Babu,Rinku both residents of Sector 4 in Panchkula and Rajinder Kumar,a resident of Indra Colony in Mani Majra.

According to the police,following a tip-off,Akash Babu and Rinku were arrested on May 31 from the Indira Colony in Mani Majra. Both were actively involved in house thefts. The third accused,Rajinder Kumar,used to buy stolen property from them and dispose it off. He was arrested on Friday from the same area.

We have recovered 16 LPG cylinders,one Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle,one Sony Bravia LCD,one television and a DVD from the accused, said a police officer. The arrests were made by a team headed by Sub-Inspector Juldan Singh under the supervision of DSP (Crime) Satbir Singh.
