GGNIMT to get city’s first acting school

Gujjaranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology is going to start first acting school of the city in collaboration noted Punjabi Actor Satish Kaul. This was disclosed by Gunwant Singh Dua Co-ordinator of GGNIMT here today after holding an interaction with Satish Kaul who also interacted with the students of the college. G S Dua said,“This school will be opened within two-three months with the active collaboration of Satish Kaul and noted Punjabi actress Preeti Sapru. There will be five diploma courses in it including diploma of acting,diction,personality development,action and dance.

The school will not be affiliated to any university or Board,as none gives affiliation to such courses but the course curricula will be as per the Film Institute,Pune. The students can get admission here after passing Class XII and criteria for giving admission to them will be based on their interviews,which of course will be conducted by the experts. The interview will be based on voice test,communication skill in Hindi,Punjabi and English etc.

Satish Kaul while interacting with students said,”Though I was born in Kashmir,I am indebted to the soil of Punjab for my success. He addressed the students about Management & Technology on the topic Career Opportunities in Film Industry here today.

He said that despite a very tough competition that one could succeed if one had the passion and the right attitude for it. Kaul demonstrated a few set of skills which were needed to take one a long way in this career. He also made interested students act and display their talents.
