Expressing confidence that he would clear his name, Gibbs said, “And I’ve got the 18 questions that they want to ask me. It’s basically exactly the same stuff that I answered at the King Commission. I’ll just be repeating myself.’’
With the South African Players’ Association pushing his case, the BCCI telling Cricket South Africa to deal directly with the Delhi Police following a request to intervene two months ago, the Gibbs story is far from over.
“It’s up to the Delhi Police,’’ said BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah, adding, “Cricket South Africa had approached our president (Union Agriculture Minister) Sharad Pawar to intervene. But he referred them to Delhi Police. It’s their call.”
