A seven-year old girl,who fell into a deep borewell on a farm was Saturday night pulled out,ending the 14-hour long intense rescue efforts,the police said.
Muthulakshmi,who fell into the improperly closed 900-ft borewell at Suryapalli village,about 50 km from here,around 7 am,remained stuck at about 18 feet deep and was pulled out around 11 pm in an unconscious state,they said. Daughter of farm labourers,the girl was rushed to hospital in an ambulance,kept ready since morning,but there was no word about her condition. Police said the rescue operations,which began at about 8 am,suffered delay due to rocky terrain.
