Girl stabbed by jilted lover

A 22-year-old girl was today injured after being stabbed by jilted lover in her hostel premises here in the district. Komal,who hails from Dungarpur,received injuries in her stomach and neck. Currently pursuing her studies in Udaipur,she stayed at the girls’ hostel. Accused Kuldeep Sharma today visited her in the hostel and after an argument he attacked her with a knife,police said.

Sharma,however,rushed Komal to the hospital and fled from there. In the meantime,police was informed by other students and the accused was arrested.

“According to primary inputs,the girl had rejected boy’s marriage proposal following which he stabbed her,” the police said,adding,the girl was recovering.
