However, he added, "the India economy is domestic consumption and investment driven economy. Exports will play a significant role but not as much as they do in China."
The problem is still out there.By: Madhumita Chakraborti | 31-Oct-2008Reply | ForwardAssocham has correctly interpreted a problem - which is a situation of no-demand. But the solution prescribed by Assocham by cutting off employee strength is bound to enhance the no-demand situation. Assocham's intention to allow cornering all the fruits by top management is mischievious in a miserable time like this. Also, this could have been a starting point to negotiate and ask for bad debts - which would be thrust on the common citizens - that's vulgarity in all sense. For us to believe your story on India's growth with GDP figures, you may have to wait a lot - at least I reject it outright. The crisis is here to stay and there's nothing so far, from any corner of the world or its experts, which indicate a way out. The problem has been seriously mis-read.
