The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday set a two-month deadline for the Ludhiana district administration and municipal authorities to determine whether residence-cum-shops and some other properties in Gobind Colony were constructed before the Punjab Regional & Town Planning and Development Act came into force in 1995. If the structures have been raised after the said year, the same may face demolition.

The directions were passed during the hearing of a petition filed by Ramesh Kumar Chabra and others.
