The 11th Engineer Officers Degree Engineering (EODE) course, which passed out from the College of Military Engineering (CME) here in June 1959, is celebrating their Golden Jubilee reunion from June 19-21 at their alma mater to relive nostalgic memories of their youthful days.
The overall academic performance of the course was outstanding and their achievements in service are also highly commendable, said a press note.
Many of them are war veterans and held prestigious appointments in the Army (such as Army Commander, Corps Commander, Adjutant General, Engineer-in-Chief and Director General of Border Roads Organisation).
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Maj Gen (Retd) B C Khanduri also belongs to this course and may attend the reunion, the note said. The course boasts many distinguished service awards, such as Vir Chakra, Sena Medal, Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, one Arjuna Award for sports and one Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar.
The celebrations will be organised under the patronage of CME Commandant Lt Gen U S P Sinha, the note said.
