About six goldsmiths were injured,two seriously,when two groups of goldsmiths clashed over the issue of the purity of the gold sold by them under sadar police area limits of Bihar's Saran district,official sources said. Sub-Divisional Officer (Chapra),Vijay Kumar Pande told reporters here that the local goldsmiths clashed with their counterparts hailing from Maharashtra over purity of gold. In the clash both sides threw acid on thier rivals causing injuries to six persons. Among them two were seriously injured who were referred to the Patna Medical College and Hospital,Pande said. Police used lathis to disperse the warring factions who pelted stones at the police,he said.
