  • The head of a Pakistan parliamentary committee and a known India baiter has now raked up the alleged Indian role in fomenting unrest in Pakistan's tribal areas. Senator Raza Rabbani, a senior Pakistan People's Party leader who heads the parliamentary committee on national security, claimed Interior Minister Rehman Malik had given the panel "substantial proof" of India's involvement in backing elements in South Waziristan tribal region and Balochistan province.

"The interior minister has provided detailed information on all those people and countries, including India, (that are involved in South Waziristan)," Rabbani told reporters after a meeting of the panel late last night.

"We think when (the government has) such material, it should be taken up at the appropriate national and international forums. We will summon the Foreign Minister at our next meeting to discuss the issue," said Rabbani, who has authored and backed several parliamentary resolutions against India.

The committee, which comprises parliamentarians from various political parties, also called for bringing the proof to the notice of Indian authorities. It asked Pakistani agencies to expose the "foreign hands behind terrorist activities".

The committee recommended the setting up of a national counter-terrorism authority to analyse and assess the reasons for the rapid spread of terrorism and to suggest ways of eliminating it.

Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira and chief military spokesman Maj Gen Athar Abbas had claimed during a recent news briefing that Indian-made arms, ammunition and medical equipment had allegedly been found by troops conducting operations against the Taliban in South Waziristan.

INDIANS SHOULD PRAY FOR PAKISTANBy: J. Singh | 05-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Pakistan is really troubled. I am worried that if they are in trouble, they will create trouble here too. There attitude may destroy Pakistan. We Indians pray for there good. PAKIS THINK POSITIVE.
Attempt to stop pakistani people from getting demoralizedBy: Praveen | 05-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Its a national risk for pakistan if their people realised that taliban which was created by pakistan is the cause for their destruction. That is why they blame this on India so that no civil unrest is caused. By blaming India they can generate hate for India for their suffering. How ironical, just after 26/11, Taliban had claimed to help pakistani army if a war broke out with India. 26/11 was a plan to sidetrack war on terror, so that pakistan do not have to deal with taliban. But the plan failed and now a new attempt to cover up their face. The responsibility of partition of bangladesh also lies on pakistan. What will you expect from a section of a society which had faced the most brutal genocide in human history, where 3 million bangladeshi were killed by pakistani army. All that bangladeshi wanted was equal economical right for their contribution which west pakistan was not very eager to share.
Kill the terrorists !By: Roxio | 05-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward As a Pakistani,I do not endorse Rabbani's views. It is foolish to blame India for all this mess.We are responsible for all this and we must deal with the terrorists mercilessly and brutally.26/11 perpetrators MUST be punished. It is in Pakistan's interest
Good Joke.By: Anonymous | 05-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward As is obvious Pakistan is telling the same thing. Nothing new in particular. Even if they have sold their country near Taliban they will not stop in pointing finger to India
Ground realitiesBy: kamran | 05-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward If pakistan gets destabilized and many splinter terror groups emerge , would india feel safe.Has the swat taliban as feared captured islamabad? What do you say if india continue its dirty game of destabilizing pakistan , it would get away with it.Do you think pakistan will be sitting back and allowing all that to happen.Pakistan army has proved that it knows how to fight a war and is a willing force to fight and sacrifice.while the indian forces employed in kashmir there have been many incidences of soldiers killing their own officers , please go into the history.what u all are forgetting that this whole scene is in reality mobilizing a public opinion and setting a course towards a more powerful pakistan.please dont post comments for the sake of it and dont talk bull shit.
