‘Raavan’, Mani Ratnam's much awaited film is finally over.

‘Raavan’, Mani Ratnam's much awaited film is finally over. After a marathon run of three long months and shooting at various locales from Kerala, to Pune's Malshej Ghat and Lonavala, the film has finally seen a happy end.

Abhishek and Aishwarya, the much loved couple are definitely the stars of the film but the one who has made Mani Ratnam very happy is none other than the film's contemporary Hanuman, Govinda.

We gathered from a source that while casting for Raavan, everyone told Mani Ratnam not to cast Govinda because he is known to come late for shoots and is known for eccentric behaviour, but Govinda won everyone including Mani Ratnam's heart on the set with his fantastic performance and his punctuality. He used to come to the set before the appointed call time even for a 5 am shoot. Govinda has always been applauded for his excellent acting skills, industries most coveted director's appreciation for Govinda's professionalism puts an end to all the ideal gossip for good.
