  • In another measure to save the aam admi from price rise due to hoarding of essential commodities like wheat and pulses, the Government is planning to extend its earlier circular restoring powers of state Governments for imposing stock-holding limits for wheat and pulses under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

Considering the fact that earlier order will expire on August 31, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs in its meeting on Thursday will consider a proposal to extend the order by another six months till February 29 next year.
