Gujarat will allocate12,000 hectares for various industrial projects in the next one year, said state Energy Minister Saurabh Patel. He was speaking at a book release function at the Ahmedabad Management Association. Patel said: “Last year, we developed 7,000 hectares. This year, we will be doing around 10,000 hectares and 12,000 hectares will be done next year.” He said the government has identified various industrial regions including Jamnagar, Ahmedabad and Vadodara in this regard. The Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region at Dahej has already been allocated 4,000 hectares. Another 1,000 hectares will be used to establish estates for the small-scale industries, he said.
