Govt to take steps to control fiscal deficit

    The government will initiate institutional reform measures to bring the fiscal deficit under control, the junior Finance Minister said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha on Friday.

    "To bring the fiscal deficit under control, the government will initiate institutional reform measures which will encompass all aspects of budget such as subsidies, taxes, expenditure and disinvestment," junior Finance Minister Namo Narain Meena said.
