Pracheen Kala Kendra’s sixth annual month-long production oriented workshop in theatrical arts conducted by noted drama artist Anita Shabdeesh concluded on Sunday with a grand function held at Kosers’ Indoor Auditorium at the Kendra in Sector 71,Mohali. here. As many as 46 children,between the ages 5 to 15 years took part in the various presentations prepared during the workshop. The finale started with a group of four children performing to a poem ‘Hum hain baache,maan ke sacche’ followed by rhythmic dance piece ‘Bamb bamb bole masti mein dole’ that got the audience tapping their feet. Dressed in a colourful costumes,the children then presented a melodic poem ‘Papa jab chhote the’ followed by an inspirational song. A drama titled ‘Gubbare’ penned by Dr Atamjit Singh was staged next followed by a solo dance by Pari. The evening also saw ‘Hindustan’ a play directed by Malkit Singh being staged. Then,Devanshi stepped in with her poem on female foeticide ‘Na mammi na marri na’ which was well received. The programme concluded with a Punjabi song (Ghori) based on Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh ‘Aayo ni sayio ral shagun manayeya’. The occasion also saw art and craft items prepared by the children being exhibited in the auditorium’s foyer.
