  • A Security guard allegedly kidnapped a one-and-half-year-old boy from his grandparents’ house in Saptarshi Society on L H Road of Kapodara area in the city on Sunday night. However, no ransom has been demanded yet, while the police have dispatched three teams to Maharashtra and Orissa.

As per the details, Paresh Siroya had recently come to his parents’ place with his son, Pransu Siroya.

On Sunday night, Rushi, a security guard employed at a nearby house, took the child with him on the pretext of playing. When he did not return for half an hour, Goverdhan, the grandfather began searching for Pransu along with other society residents.

Paresh Siroya, employed with a diamond firm, contacted the security firm GSS (Gautam Security Services), which had employed Rushi, in order to find the guard’s whereabouts, but in vain. Paresh then contacted Kapodara police and lodged a kidnapping complaint against the security guard. Police immediately rushed to the GSS office and found that the firm had not been maintaining the records of its guards.
