Guj, Haryana school board officials meet

    A two-member delegation of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) met officials of the Haryana Board of School Education at Bhiwani during their two-day visit of the state.

    The delegation members had a meeting with the officers of the Education Board, District Education Officers, educationists and students in a bid to be apprised of the reforms made by the Haryana education board in the examination system.

    A spokesman of the Haryana education board said that Kiran Bhalodia, Member, Examination Reforms Committee, and R C Patel, Secretary, Examinations, GSHSEB, had a meeting with Mandeep Singh Brar, Secretary, Haryana education board and other senior officials.

    Brar said the Haryana education board has implemented a semester system, a system of continuous appraisal, grading system and other education and examination related schemes.

    The members of the visiting delegation said Gujarat was thinking about introducing the semester system.
