Guj NRE Q4 loss at Rs 103.18 cr

    India’s largest met coke producer Gujarat NRE Coke has reported a net loss of Rs 103.18 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2009, while it had a net profit of Rs 64.20 crore in the same period ended March 2008. Total income declined to Rs 214.58 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2009, against Rs 380.64 crore in the same period ended March 2008.

    For the year ended March 2009, the company has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 87.30 crore, down 48.41 per cent from Rs 169.25 crore from the same period ended March 2008. Further, the company’s board has appointed Arun Kumar Jagatramka as CMD.
